Some places have a name. Others have a story.

Veronika Gourmet Bar & Kitchen was named after Veronika, our family's great-grandmother, a woman who was among the first to recognize the beauty of life by the sea and the joy of welcoming guests right here in this very place.

At a time when tourism in Banjole looked very different from what it does today, Veronika laid the foundations of what we continue to build through Camp Peškera and Villa Elizabeta. Through her hard work, hospitality and dedication, she created values that each generation has carefully preserved, developed and adapted to changing times – always with the same goal: making every guest feel welcome.

Today, Veronika Gourmet Bar & Kitchen represents a new chapter in that story.

After many years of primarily serving camp guests, the bistro now welcomes external visitors who wish to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, outstanding cuisine and a unique seaside setting.

 Mediterranean Flavours on Your Plate

Inspired by the sea and the Mediterranean way of life, our menu features carefully prepared fish and seafood specialties, fresh ingredients and dishes that celebrate the richness of local flavours.

Guests who prefer meat dishes will also find a selection of carefully crafted options, along with desserts that provide the perfect ending to an evening meal.

Special attention has been given to our wine list, showcasing premium wines from local Istrian winemakers, while cocktail lovers can discover selected spirits produced by local distilleries.

More Than a Restaurant

Veronika was never intended to be just a place for dinner.

Throughout the season, we host various events that bring together gastronomy, art, music and social gatherings.

Creative workshops such as Art & Wine and Sunset Cocktail Tasting & Art invite participants to create their own artwork under professional guidance while enjoying carefully selected wines or cocktails. Places are limited and advance reservation is required. Participation fee: €30 per person.
